Redress on Innovative Technologies
At MDIA, we believe in harnessing the power of innovation to drive positive change, while ensuring there are appropriate redress mechanisms.
Artificial Intelligence
Without prejudice to other administrative or judicial remedies, any natural or legal person having grounds to consider that there has been an infringement of the provisions of the EU AI Act may submit reasoned complaints to the MDIA.

Cybersecurity Certification
The MDIA handles complaints by natural or legal persons in relation to European cybersecurity certificates issued by national cybersecurity certification authorities or to European cybersecurity certificates issued by conformity assessment bodies in accordance with Article 56(6) of the Cybersecurity Act or in relation to EU statements of conformity issued under Article 53 of the same Act.
The MDIA investigates the subject matter of such complaints to the extent appropriate and shall inform the complainant of progress and the outcome of the investigation within a reasonable period.

Data Governance
Any natural or legal person directly affected by a decision as referred to in Article 9(1) of the Data Governance Act shall have an effective right of redress in the Member State where the relevant body is located. Please refer to the relevant subsidiary legislation under Chapter 591 of the Laws of Malta for further information.

Procedure
Complete the complaints/redress form to enable the Authority to process the information.
MDIA will evaluate the form. If necessary, officers will attend on-site to investigate the report.
