DiHubMT – European Digital Innovation Hub
The project proposed, led by the Malta Digital Innovation Authority, will develop and establish Malta’s European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) – DiHubMT. In line with the European Union’s call for proposals for the setting up of EDIHs, the DiHubMT aims at providing the complete set of services of an EDIH on an open, transparent and non-discriminatory basis, targeted towards SMEs, small midcaps and public sector organisations.
The following are the main services that will be offered at the DiHubMT:

Digital Entrepreneurship Support Services
Digital Entrepreneurship support services provide mentorship and consultancy services to facilitate digital and green transformation with a focus on existing local competencies in the area, namely Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cybersecurity and High-Performance Computing (HPC).
This also foresees the setup of an Entrepreneurship Programme (pre-accelerator, accelerator and incubator) and the provision of specialised services in relation to access to finance.

Test before Invest
Technical ‘Test before Invest’ support services will be available via a High-Tech Workspace, which will feature high-end technologies, namely:
- HPC
- AI
- IoT
- Cybersecurity
- Virtual Reality
- Animations Lab
- 3D Printing

Digital Skills and Training Development
Digital Skills and Training Development will drive cross-sector upskilling and reskilling digital skills educational initiatives, with a focus on advanced digital skills linked to short-term training courses, an apprenticeship programme and a train-the-trainer programme.

Innovation Ecosystems and Networking
Innovation Ecosystems and Networking services will promote the concept of Innovation Communities, while facilitating networking and collaboration with the Digital Transformation Accelerator, the European network of EDIHs and other relevant stakeholders and local actors, to enable the sharing of best practices and specialist knowledge.

Digital Innovation Policy and Strategy
Digital Innovation Policy and Strategy will support the implementation of policies and bridge the gap between the private sector and the European Commission and Government with the aim of developing evidence-based policymaking.
