Quality Policy
The Quality Policy of the Malta Digital Innovation Authority (MDIA) is to provide services that satisfy the responsibilities falling under its remit by virtue of relevant legislation. This is carried out by establishing, implementing and maintaining updated processes that are efficient and effective, whilst ensuring service conformity and enhanced customer satisfaction.
The MDIA shall endeavour to satisfy the applicable requirements of its interested parties and the ever-increasing expectations of society through a process of continual improvement in the services and support it provides and its quality management system.

Quality Objectives
The MDIA establishes quality objectives that are consistent with its mission, vision and strategic direction, and appropriate to its context to achieve the desired results, whilst ensuring service conformity and enhanced customer satisfaction.
To this effect, the MDIA adopts the following quality objectives
To ensure a proportionate and effective regulatory approach and sound management of the Authority’s regulatory scope.
To increase collaboration with relevant national stakeholders regarding regulation of digital technology.
To promote timely, evidence-based, public-interest input to digital policy making.
To serve as a trusted advisor on policy matters to Government on digital technologies and regulation.
To proactively drive and support the alignment of Malta’s digital policy framework with evolving developments.
To foster equitable digital literacy and awareness to empower the general public to actively participate in a digital society.
To support educational programmes ensuring readiness for the needs of current and future digital skills.
To promote workforce upskilling and reskilling, thereby accelerating the development of skills for the digital economy.
To cultivate a national ecosystem supporting drivers and adopters of emerging technologies.
To support entities with information on regulatory requirements and pertinent opportunities easing the adoption of digital innovation.
To build trust in the Authority by fostering a mission-driven, valuesbased culture supported by the good governance.
To ensure transparent, accountable, agile and risk-aware financial and operational management, embedding ESG principles.
To develop and sustain a competent, committed, diverse and driven workforce.
To strengthen and adapt internal digital infrastructure, driving transformation.
To sustain and increase MDIA’s visibility, active participation and influence in international digital governance.
To strengthen cooperation with leading international regulators, innovation hubs and pertinent institutions.
To advance stakeholder understanding and confidence in innovative technologies and the associated regulatory frameworks.
To raise awareness of the Authority’s services.
To strengthen public engagement and adopt a customer-centric approach.
