Tech Trek

A teen tech adventure

TechTrek 2026 is a week-long bootcamp for secondary school students who are curious about technology, creativity, and the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in everyday life.

Rather than focusing only on technical skills, the programme encourages students to think about how digital technologies can be used to respond to real problems and ideas that matter to people and communities. Throughout the week, participants will work in teams, take part in hands-on activities and workshops, and develop small projects around themes linked to AI, digital innovation, creativity, problem-solving, and ethical technology.

The sessions are designed to be practical, collaborative, and exploratory. Students will experiment with different technologies, discuss current issues surrounding AI and society, and learn how ideas can be turned into meaningful digital solutions.

The programme is intended for students who will be enrolled in Year 9, Year 10, or Year 11 of secondary school during the 2026/2027 scholastic year.

TechTrek 2026 will take place at the University of Malta over five half-day sessions in July 2026, from 08:30 to 13:00. Registration is €30.
