Closed Schemes
Explore Malta Digital Innovation Authority (MDIA)’s collection of innovative schemes and initiatives that were once open for application but have since concluded. Digital Connect
In collaboration with the Ministry for the Economy and Industry (MEI) and the Ministry for Social Justice and Solidarity, the Family and Children’s Rights (MSFC), MDIA initiated the Digital Connect scheme. This pilot project aimed to enhance inclusion and digitalization skills among the citizens of Malta. The program, which focused on improving digital literacy, enhancing connectivity, integrating digital technology, and fostering computer skills, has concluded. While Digital Connect is no longer active, it stands as a testament to MDIA’s commitment to building a digitally literate and connected society.
COVID-19 Response
The MDIA Award for Innovative Technologies in Response to COVID-19 was launched in recognition of the urgent need for innovative solutions during the global pandemic. The award aimed to encourage the fast deployment of technologies addressing societal challenges posed by COVID-19 and similar future scenarios. This program has concluded, but it remains a milestone in MDIA’s history, highlighting our agility and commitment to leveraging technology for the greater good, particularly in times of crisis.
