xPloring Intelligence Bootcamp
xPloring Intelligence
A bootcamp on us and tech
xPloring Intelligence is a week-long bootcamp for young participants who would like to explore what intelligence really means – in humans and in the machines shaping everyday life.
Rather than treating AI as something distant or abstract, the bootcamp encourages students to engage with it directly: how do machines learn, recognise patterns, and make decisions? Throughout the week, participants take part in hands-on activities and creative challenges built around themes such as machine learning, pattern recognition, and the social implications of AI.
The sessions are designed to be fun and accessible to students with a wide range of abilities, while still engaging seriously with the ideas. Participants experiment with tools that bring AI concepts to life, reflect on the limits of intelligent systems, and develop small projects of their own.
This programme is targeted at young people who, during the 2026/2027 Scholastic Year (starting in October 2026), will be enrolled in middle school in Year 7 or Year 8.
The camp will run for 5 days at the University of Malta, from 08:30 to 13:00, for a small fee of €25.
The xPloring Intelligence – A Bootcamp on Us and Tech will consist of five (5) half-day sessions over one week. Each session will run from 08:30 to 13:00, including two 30-minute breaks.
